Continuously Challenging Myself

Our company is a global entity consisting of six businesses: resources, human resources, environmental business, food, industrial machinery, and electrical appliances. Our office is located in Jakarta, Indonesia, and we will continue to develop our trade business utilizing the worldwide network we have built so far.

In 2019, I started my business with just one million yen in my pocket. This year marks the fifth year since I started this challenge to see how far I could pave my own way with just 1 million yen. Through my experiences, I have come to believe that business development is not driven by money, but by individuals (colleagues). To nurture individuals (colleagues), we aim for education, practice, and staying ahead of trends. While studying the domestic market in Japan, I established HT INTERNATIONAL to secure business both domestically and internationally, realizing the importance of individuals in the process.

Despite having various experiences, I initially did not have a strong intention to conduct business overseas. Initially, my goal was to start in manufacturing and build a win-win relationship with manufacturers. However, few companies were willing to deal with a newly established company with no track record. Therefore, I decided to secure the raw materials used by manufacturers overseas and bring them to Japan to build an equal relationship. I started by visiting overseas locations myself, handling everything alone, and found trustworthy colleagues along the way, marking my true starting point.

A Turning Point Leading to Significant Gains

It was a solitary struggle, but a turning point came one day. In November 2022, the G20 summit was held in Bali, along with the business summit B20, where I was invited as a Japanese participant. Using B20 as an opportunity, I succeeded in establishing a network. Although our company is newly established, we now have a global network. Achieving in about two years what typically takes over ten years has greatly boosted our confidence.

Going forward, we aim to engage in the energy business, leveraging our extensive network. We are involved in large-scale projects, and I am honored to be the first freelance Japanese person to be part of this field. Using our current business as a starting point, I intend to actively convey my message as a Japanese person and become a bridge to Asia. Lastly, my true assets are not monetary but my colleagues, which keeps me motivated.
